Alphabet Fun!

Let's begin our school year by learning our ABC'S! Please practice the alphabet below with your child by pointing to the letter, producing the letter sound, then saying the name of the object shown.
For example: name the letter "a" (now make sound /a/), now say the word shown- apple.

Here is a link to a new blog I found: http://livelovelaughkindergarten.blogspot.com/. I am a new kindergarten teacher so I am so happy to see the outburst of blogs with information to help. This site has so many ideas on classroom management, instruction, and curriculum for kindergarten teachers. I can't wait to teach and learn along with my kindergarteners this year.

Welcome Letter to Parents

.
Dearest Parents,
Welcome! I am very excited about meeting each and every one of you. I’m looking forward to teaching your child and providing meaningful experiences to develop a lifelong love for learning. I truly want their first year of elementary school to be a positive experience. This blog will later explain how I run my classroom and what one should expect this year. It will probably be a good idea to keep this in your favorites so you may refer back to it often as updates are being made and new links are posted to educational activities for your child. If you ever have any questions, you may email or call me at school. It is best to email me, since I am able to check messages from home.

Thank you!
I am eager to start the year and get-to-know your child!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Anderson
